What types of outdoor furniture are there?

Cast Aluminum, Sling, Deep Cushion and Wrought Iron are the most popular choices in outdoor furniture today. Each offers a different look and feel. Today's Patio Furniture is long lasting, comfortable, highly styled and easily maintained. Pool Works carries a wide selection of each of these from the top manufacturers in a wide selection of beautiful fabrics and finishes

.

Wrought iron, because of its weight, is a wonderful choice for high wind areas and adds charm to any area for years of enjoyment.  Wrought iron needs minimal maintenance each season, usually requiring slight paint touch ups. Cast Aluminum is another popular choice with no maintenance required.  Add colored cushions and you have both style and comfort. We are seeing a trend in this area for deep seated cushion to compliment covered porches, screened porches and four seasons rooms. Last but not least, Aluminum Slings and Padded Slings are also maintenance free and are a perfect choice for poolside living as the sling fabric dries quickly when wet suits are inevitable.

What are performance cushions?
Performance cushions are created specifically for outdoor use. Created from petroleum based fibers, they do not hold water. Water is easily drained out of the cushions. The fabrics are made of acrylic fibers. An inherent characteristic of acrylic fiber is that it will not support the growth of mildew, as a natural fiber will. Mildew will and can grow on any surface that is dirty, so keep your cushions clean. The durable performance cushions manufactured today will provide years of outdoor enjoyment!

What are the advantages of Sunbrella Fabrics?
Sunbrella fabric is a high performance fabric created especially to endure outdoor conditions. UV-resistant color pigments are fully blended into its high performance fiber. Sunbrella fabric's strength and color refuses to fade even under the harshest conditions, while retaining the softness of spun cotton. Because Sunbrella Furniture fabrics are designed to be breathable, they are water repellent, but not completely waterproof. Over time, the water repellency can be refreshed by using 303 High Tech Fabric Guard™ ( www.303products.com ).

Mildew will not grow on Sunbrella unless there is food, dirt or other organic matter on the fabric. Sunbrella fabrics do not absorb water and are designed to air-dry very quickly - usually within a matter of minutes.  An added benefit is that Sunbrella fabrics have been tested and proven to provide up to 98% UV protection from harmful effects of the sun when used in shade applications, so they make great fabric for Umbrellas.
